What did you learn new?
~I learned that in order for people to get photos of what they are looking at such as staircases. You would have to go to many buildings and travel across places just to find that perfect or gorgeous staircase like what Christian Richter did in Europe/Germany.

~When I was on the website I looked at pictures of spiral staircases. All the pictures were took by a architecture photographer. He goes to many buildings just to look for gorgeous staircases to take photos of which end up turning out great from what I can tell.

~The creator of the video was Joe Capra of Scientifantastic
c. If there is a story about the video on the website, paraphrase it in 2-3 sentences.

On the website I look at time-lapses that someone named Joe Capra created. He first got interest in time-lapses when he was looking around online and came across a video of a time-lapse by Tom Lowe, who was the first person to do nighttime milky way time-lapses. This made Joe very amazed to the point where he wanted to try it out, which he did whenever he had the chance or day off to do so.

Magazines Part II
(50-150 words for each one...?)
1. Image Based:
Image based covers usually have one or a couple of people on the cover and it is more preferable if the person on the cover is smiling. The celebrity's that are on the cover sells the magazine/issue, because of this most celebrity issues sell more covers than the other.
2. Illustration Based:
Illustration based covers were the only way of creating cover pages in the mid 30's of the 20th century. Now the illustrations are mainly used to show something funny or out of the ordinary. It is not very common for magazines to have a illustrated cover. But the ones that do have a illustrated cover like The New Yorker are independently published magazines that don't have to rely on the news stand sales to keep on going.
3. Type Based:
Type based covers are usually shocking and are seen more often than illustrated covers. It is powerful in the way it looks and there is a beauty it types that can present the message much better than photography could. The most famous typography based cover was called "Oh My God, We Hit a Little Girl!" by George Lois. Small in numbers typography covers are slowly having a revival in the last few years since there is also a rise in popularity of handwritten letters and modern calligraphy.
4. Concept Based:
Concept based covers are a mix of three approaches, but is best when it's used to present a strong message in a shocking or funny way. For the concept based covers the sell it has to be instantly understandable to the audience which is not usually easy to achieve. It has to be funny for the readers, not just yourself and your editor. It is rare but can usually be seen in business magazines, news weekly magazines, independent magazines, magazines that are supplements to newspapers and subscription only publications.
Finally, what is the relationship between words and photos on magazine covers and why is this important?
The photo on magazine covers can tell us what the person is about or to see what their doing while the words on the magazine cover can tell you what the situation or what is happening in the photo. Which can be important for selling issues and it being good in general.

My Favorite Cover
~Favorite cover~
Description:
Critique:
The lighting in the photo is very bright so you can see every little detail of RuPaul and what she is doing in the photo. But because of the words being very bold it is somewhat hard to see the background behind it but we can somewhat guess what is there. Also in this photo RuPaul was the clear choice on leading the issue they are having within the LGBTQ community since she was the first lady of drag at the presidential podium. As seen in the photo she is on the podium and is point at what be the rest of America since the flags of the U.S is behind her. Other then that I really love the photo and how colorful and bold it is. Plus I wouldn't even mind reading about what is happening within the LGBTQ community since it is very interesting to me.

"With the LGBTQ community at the center of our nation’s political zeitgeist, RuPaul was the clear choice to anchor our issue leading into the Fourth of July. Our photographer and photo team worked with RuPaul herself to imagine her take on America, starting with the first lady of drag at the presidential podium. As we worked on the cover there was one line from her hit show RuPaul’s Drag Race we kept in mind: 'Good luck, and don’t f**k it up!' Thankfully the shoot was poppy, electric, and unlike anything else. (All things that also happen to describe RuPaul)."
